Colour POP

I can’t get enough of bright and bold colors!! They aren’t just something you wear but they convey to others that you have a vibrant and fun personality. Bold colors are a statement that immediately establishes your presence!

This hot pink blazer dress is spunky and daring! I really like how the red belt adds some color blocking to this outfit. Color blocking can be done in many ways. One can be monochromatic by choosing one color and layering its different shades and tones (rose, light pink, fuchsia) . Second could be contrasting tones. Colors that are on the opposite ends of the color wheel or rainbow (purple and yellow or red and blue). Third could be mixing shades from the same color family. These are the ones that are near each other on the color wheel or rainbow (red and orange or purple and blue).

Here, I’ve color blocked using option 3: shades from the same family. The blocks of color in this this outfit creates an eye catching look. If you’ve never stepped outside of the box with your colors, give it a try! Don’t miss out on an adventurous and spirited way to express your personality.

My accessories for this “block party”( you see what I did there?! Lol) are bold earrings that consist of the same 2 colors I chose for the color blocked dress. I also threw neutral colors into the mix with my black ankle boots and grey crossbody. These red, cat eye sunnies are one of my favs from Quay.

Usually when fall/winter comes in we pull out all of our dark, muted tones. As the temperature drops and you start to drag during these seasons, add some energy to your wardrobe with vibrant, upbeat hues. Adding pops of color will surely change your mood and affect others around you. Try it out and let me know how it goes!
